HOW TO USE
916 Gold Paint on Wood & Metal
All surfaces must be clean and free from loose or peeling paint, grease, oil, dirt, rust and other contaminants. If procedure is not observed, the drying and adhesion of any coating will be adversely affected.
STEP 1 -SURFACE PREPARATION

PREPPING SURFACES
Remove any old paint from the wood as necessary. If the wood you want to paint has paint already on it, you may have to remove it before adding a new coat.

SANDING SURFACES
Sand the surface of the wood with coarse sandpaper and finish off with fine sandpaper. Start by sanding down the area where you’ve used putty or filler before moving to the rest of the surface for an even feel.

CLEANING SURFACES
Clean off any dust or wood residue with a tack cloth. If you have a vacuum, vacuum off the wood thoroughly, followed by a sweep with a tack cloth.

PRIMING SURFACES
Brush or spray on a smooth coat of primer. Use a paint roller to hit wide-spaced, even areas of wood surface that aren’t contoured, and a paintbrush along corners, edges, and harder-to-reach areas. Allow the primer to dry before moving on.
STEP 2 -APPLY FIRST COAT

Stir thoroughly to a uniform consistency before use. Never shake, it will cause bubbles in the dried finish.

Ready to apply the first coat, if necessary, you may dilute with not more than 5% of water. Recomended to apply with a brush, working in the direction of the grain of the wood.

Allow 2-3 hours to air-dry the gold paint
Tips
You may consider using more than 2 coatings with top coat for optimum results. It’s recommended to use a layer of Sealer/Primer and Top Coat the gold paint. (Minimum 2 coats) recoating time 2-3 hours
STEP 3 -APPLY SECOND COAT

Repeat. Once the first coat has dried, Then add a second coat in the same manner. Wait another 2-3 hours to dry, depanding on the temperature and humidity.
